Chapter 1: Anna Grey 

"Get her!" the teenagers screamed down the hall as they chased me. "Loser!" one said, "coward!" said another. I was running as fast as I could to escape them, but I was also running out of air.... And fast. Just a few minutes later My chest burned, but even though I felt as if I were going to vomit... my mind was oddly calm. "I've been through this so many times in my life, when will it finally end?" I thought to myself as I stood in the hallway holding my knees and gasping for air. I quickly looked around for a place to hide.... and to my dismay, every door in the hallway was locked.... except for the school exit. Before I could second guess myself I heard the group of people that were ready to torment me growing closer, so I darted outside and ran into the woods nearby to hide. 

After I spent the day in the cold, the other students eventually started to spill out of the school and head home. "Finally, I thought I'd have frozen to death by now!" I thought, thankful that I hadn't. After taking a few extra minutes to make sure everyone was gone, I myself made my way home. All I could think the whole way there was.... "Great, I'm just headed to another place that I don't fit in."
