#169 Deer Or Deere Read Count : 138

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
I’m out here on a tractor
And it’s getting mighty hot.
Then out of the blue
I hear a hunter’s shot.

The sweat is really pouring now,
And there’s a ringing in my ear,
Cause the bullet got my tractor
Right there on the rear.

Out into the clearing then
The hunter came with alarm,
For a deer he meant to kill
And not to do me any harm.

A John Deere he got as I rode
The tractor way up high,
Not the one with a bushy
White tail that was flying by.
