#56 A NEIGHBOR Read Count : 112

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
I have a neighbor who lives right next door
I don't know how she could mean any more

She is always so pleasant while we endure
The ups and downs that life has in store

If I run out of something and am in need
I can count on her to help me finish my deed

For something that from her I can borrow
Keeps me from putting off 'til tomorrow

Sometimes we lean over the fence and chat
Until we hear the children get into a spat

And when the time came and I had to go to work
She was right next door to me to be on the alert

There were many happy times we both shared
She was always so helpful and really cared

I know that I never could thank her enough
For all that she did to keep our friendship up
