#46 CRAFT FAIRS & YARD SALES Read Count : 125

On Saturdays my sister and I have
something we’ve looked forward to do.
It’s taking in craft fairs and yard sales,
giving us a rest from our weekly hullabaloo.

We walk and talk and take in the sights
enjoying each others company all the long day,
Midst all the splendor of the beautiful crafts
that are made and so artfully displayed.

Oohing and aahing we admire the beauty
of all that we see has been done.
We’re not buying much, to each other we say;
but we sure are having lots and lots of fun.

Then on the way home we see some signs
pointing to yard sales down this way.
Stop here and there, never know where
you might find the best buy of the day.

Nearing our homes, we think about our day
while we are counting each treasure.
We think about how just being together
has brought us a day full of pleasure.
