There is nothing so pleasing as reading a good book. 
Especially if it’s a rainy or cold day by the fire. 
You sit all warm and cozy and are ready to look 
For a trip in your mind to a place of desire. 

You can reminisce and go back to a previous time, 
Or look way into the future for awhile. 
Oh, I wish I could be in this place so divine, 
But I’m sitting here so cozy by a warm fire. 

Soon I’m lost in the book and enjoying it so. 
I feel like I’m there in this wonderful place. 
I’m remembering things that happened long ago, 
And a smile even comes over my happy face. 

Sometimes I feel in my eyes the start of a tear, 
Whether it is sadness or joy making it so. 
And maybe there will even be some fear. 
Oh, I can’t wait to read on and then I’ll know. 

With a happy ending will the book close? 
Or will it be leaving me wondering all alone, 
If the life imagined that the characters chose, 
Leads to a sequel I just can't wait to bring home?
