#30 SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS

The snow clouds down the mountain do slide As I lay on my bed by the window all snug inside. So soft it all looks, so glistening too. I wonder what when tomorrow comes I should do. Snowflakes keep coming and the ground it all covers. Oh what a beautiful sight for two lovers! No cars, no traffic lights, nothing to stop us, Except, of course, these heavy coats and galoshes. We wander and roam and take in such sights. As a coach on runners and dog so bundled he couldn’t bite. We swing in a gondola to get to the other side. Oh how much fun also was the cog train ride. As slowly up to the mountaintop we happily go, It’s a wonderful, peaceful sight all this snow. All is so clean and ever so white as we head back to eat. The entertainment begins as we just take our seat. Look at the length of that long horn he is playing. Oh, how we wish we could lengthen are staying. © Copyright 1997 by Jean E. Gorney
