#28 SLEIGH RIDE Read Count : 110

Winter is here and we don’t have any snow.
So off to Vermont we decide to go.
A trip all arranged by our dear daughter-in-law.
Boy are we going to have a real ball.
Wade is a baby and Alice and Dad are always so cold,
But we are moving to Florida this year I have told.
We’ll make it I’m sure you will see.
If anyone has fun, I’m sure it will be me.
After settling into a warm cozy room,
It’s off to the sleigh ride; it can’t happen too soon.
All huddled and bundled everyone sits
While I sniff at the wind. Oh, I’m sure enjoying this.
Off through the snow the horses they trod
And what a great view. Oh, thank you to God.
Then back to our cozy little room and the ride is all done,
But I’m sure the others had to agree it was fun.
Now living in Florida, I’m all fuzzy and warm
As I reminisce of the time of the sleigh ride after a storm.
