My heart can take no more Mudering of the innocent This loss of life is unacceptable My heart throbbing in pain We are all human beings All humanity bleeds NO religion, color or creed Should separate us from this truth My skin, my hair, my eyes All unique colors I display Remember Love, kindness & compassion Murder is not who I choose to be As for the rest of us who have survived With this bleeding gash in our hearts We weep, we pray, we remember That life is but a gift we should cherish Not just your own but the man or woman You pass on the street The guy or girl you never looked in the eye I weep tonight for the men & women I never met Because they were just like I Human Beings
