Other goalkeepers wonder where my secret lies
I'm not built to suit a goalkeepers size
But when I start to tell them
They think I'm telling lies
I say,
It's the length in my dive
The span of my arms
The stride of my sprint
The vocals on my communication
I'm a goalkeeper
Phenomenally
Phenomenal Goalkeeper
That's me
I walk onto the field
Just as cool as you please
And to the other team
I'm too short
But when they see my talent
They are wowed
But they still underestimate
I say,
It's the fire in my heart
The flash of my ability
And the speed of my feet
Phenomenally
Phenomenal Goalkeeper
That's me
Others them selves have wondered
Why I play the position
They think that I can't
But when I show them
They still underestimate me
I say,
It's the height in my jump
The distance of my dive
The skill of my hands
The distance of my slide
I'm a goalkeeper
Phenomenally
Phenomenal Goalkeeper
That's me
Now they understand
Just why I'm not scared
Why I don't shout or jump around
Or have to talk over people
When I take the field it ought to make my family proud
I say,
It's in the quickness of my shuffle
The quickness of my hands
The distance in my throws
The fuel of my fire
That's all I need
Cause I'm a goalkeeper
Phenomenally
Phenomenal Goalkeeper
That's me
