The world did not end with a bang, or a whisper, but rather one scream at a time.


The whisper of the night made Kylie quiver as the wind blew from the curtain extending like it was waiting for her to reach out and then pull her into a pit of eternity but she stayed asleep with the sound of New York below her rumbling and rustling in a never ending repeat. Kylie dreamed of being an artist but it all came crashing down like a building when her 2 friends Lucca and River got into an art school they soon where in a relationship together which made Kylie jealous but she never showed. River and Kylie had everything in common but she never told him how she felt until today at least.

"Kylie get up you have to go to work" Lucca fumed. Kylie could imagine Lucca in her art clothes attempting to cook even though she can't. Kylie's mum was a cooking teacher but Kylie was to bothered to cook today or any day.
"5 more minutes" Kylie protested
"No get down here!" 
"Coming!" Jeez Kylie thought I only sit at home writing books online it doesn't really count as job does it? Ugh I don't have time to think about this. She dragged herself downstairs and came to a halt when she reached the bottom. 
"Hey River" Kylie affirmed calmly not trying to sound jealous in any way possible.
"Hey Kylie I've read some of your stories they're awesome you have to write more!"  
"Thanks I'll work on one today if I have time" Kylie exclaimed glancing at Lucca who seemed to have gone a bit red in jealousy. "I'll catch you guys later I've gotta head to forest. Writers block" Kylie always went to the forest when she can't think but today she could her mind was full of amazing ideas she just wanted to get away. 

Kylie grabbed her computer out of the front part of her pastel pink bag with purple and orangey pink flowers on it. She sat on a flat golden green mossy rock typing away. "If the world came to end he wouldn't end with her." She continued writing a love story about her in real life but different. As she was typing she thought if River would know if it's about him, she came to a realisation that she wouldn't post the story but keep it a secret on her computer like online diary. 

She packed up her stuff when she was done and walked confidently through the forest where the birds squarked and the trees rustled. She left the forest behind her and continued on her way home along the pathway passing shops and streetlights that reflected the sunlight. She knocked on the door of her place and was shocked to she River answer the door. 
"Hey is Lucca home?" Kylie question trying to peer inside.
"No she said I should go to let you in" River replied letting her inside. She raced up to her room and opened her computer finishing some final touches she replaced the title with do not touch and left the room almost slipping on the tiles to have a shower.

As River heard the shower start running he walked cautiously upstairs heading towards the other living room but couldn't help seeing Kylie's computer wide open with another story ready to be uploaded. He thought it's not right to read it but Kylie always takes an hour in the shower whenever he's here. He quickly went in trying to make a sound and finished reading the story 30 minutes before Kylie got out. He loved the story but couldn't help to think that it might have about him.

"Hey did write that story about me" River asked as Kylie dried of her hair with a towel. Her face went bright red.
"Uh....maybe" Kylie realised she said the wrong answer Lucca's gonna kill her.
"Look your great and all but we're just friends your just uh...not my type I guess. I never really liked you I'm sorry." River felt bad leaving her like this but he is straight forward just like Kylie.
"S-sorry" Kylie apoligised and ran into her room locking the door she packet her computer, food and water which she always keeps in her room (that she never leaves). She had tears streaming down her face she really though he liked her but he's in a relationship. She had to get out of here she'd embarassed herself in front of her crush and her friend would kill her if she found out she liked him. 

Kylie ran downstairs her bag slamming against her back as she ran out flinging the door shut behind her. She kept running and running until she came to a red light she didn't have time to stop so she ran. Screaming in pain before blacking out, the car had hit her. She only screamed once as someone would scream again.
