I stared into the empty blue sky. Thoughts of nature being so beautiful flood my mind. Seagulls flying across the horizon diving beak first into the ocean to capture it's dinner. Sounds of the clear ocean waves crashing into the sand at my feet. The breeze soothed the air. Nature just puts a smile on my face and warms my heart. "What is on your mind?" Samantha asked in her soft spoken voice. She is a beautiful woman, whom has a smile that shines into my soul. She loves the nature almost as much as I do. I responded a few seconds later, "Nothing. Just enjoying the nature with you. Is it crazy how all this beauty lives so naturally?" I turned to look her in her forest green eyes. At that same moment, she looked into mine as if she knew this was heading towards a heart to heart conversation. "What do you mean?" She responded fairly quickly with a strong but confused tone. "This world has a natural order. Nothing like humans though. We have to follow rules that humans created. Nature only has to follow nature and live by one thing. Survival. We live but most of us don't go through survival. We all speak as if humans are the most intelligent beings on Earth. We are definetly far from it. Mother nature doesn't have to say anything and the world follows her. Humans have to create something to get other humans to pay attention. It's sad. Nature just needs to be nature and my eyes are drawn to it automatically." Samantha looks back into the sky. Her caramel skin glows from the sunlight bouncing off of it. The aura coming from her, looks like a protective shield. "I agree with you Mikhail. This world we live in is cruel. Nature is truly free and can do anything at their own free will. We are trapped in societies that only want money growth. When I die, I want to become a hummingbird. They fly with the wind and seem so peaceful and at ease. No stress in the world. Free from all responsibilities and distractions." "Well said Sam. Well said." We lay next to each other in the sand. The orange sun sets beyond the ocean. The reflection in the water amplifies the suns beauty. Would never give this moment up for anything. As we laid in the sand, I noticed a flickering light in the sky. It was getting bigger and bigger with every passing second. I can see the a bright, white beam of light stream across the water. The light was coming from, what looked like, a dull black spaceship with red streaks going horizontally around it. Seeing this UFO brought chills through my entire body. I put myself between Sam and the UFO. She grabbed around my back and across my stomach. It did not faze me any. If it made her feel safe, then that is all that matters. The white beam stops on the sand nearby Sam and I, and the light gets brighter. Sam is trembling from the fear that fills us both. A figure slowly floats down onto the sand. Its body is built like an athlete. Muscular physique, but their head was slightly larger than a humans. As the creature walks out of the light, I felt Sam grip tighter around my waist and a quiet pouting noise slips out uncontrollably from her thick lips. I clench my fist, readying myself for an assault. I know how to defend myself since I am a Private Investigator. The creature had extra sets of shiny, solid black eyes on multiple parts of its head. It was wearing a weird outfit that fit snug to its body. It was shiny black with red trimming, and a symbol on the chest. The symbol is circular with a ring the goes around it, and the letter "M" right above it. I assume it's a letter. It could mean something different for them. The creature spoke to me in a calm voice but with an echo. Maybe the half face mask that covers the nose and mouth is making it sound like that. "Do not be afraid Earthlings. We do not intend to hurt anyone from this planet. We only seek salvation, and acceptance from another intellegant life form." I have notice that before the echo, it is speaking but sounds like rubbish to me. The echo must be the mask translating their language into ours. If this is to be true, then they are way more advanced than us 'Earthlings'. It stepped closer to us, and we quickly stepped backwards. "Please relax. My name is Prathon. I am a translator for my kind. I am able to translate anything I say to any species in this galaxy. Please. Don't fear me." My body tenses. My heart starts to beat out of my chest. I can feel Sam's heart beat almost matching the rhythm of my own. Samantha screams as the translator quickly reaches out towards us. Long, gray cold fingers grasp my shoulder. My body shivers from its icy fingers touching my bare skin. My eyes grew wide and red. My stomach sinks to the sand, as it still has it's hand grasping my shoulder. .......To Be Continued Hope you enjoyed the story! Please comment, rate and share the story! Thank you for your time!
