WRITER’S BLOCK

A writer can have a writer’s block
	when nothing comes to mind.
She’ll sit and think and think,
	but nothing passes but time.

Brain waves are stretching and
	going every which way,
But the pen is idol on her desk,
and it seems it’s there to stay.

I can’t think she says
	of anything that is new,
But I’m not ready yet to
	bid this project adieu

Then she turns her mind
	to thoughts of other things,
And soon her heart begins
to flutter as a harp of strings.

Little bulbs of light begin
	dancing in her head
As soon her pen across the paper
	by her thoughts are led.
