Situations changed, I'm no longer who I used to be... The alcohol don't own my thoughts.. Turns out I'm worst then I thought.. My mind is not my ow, I'm not free.. Sobriety is just another jail sentenc. every-day I face the battle of not picking up the pure satisfaction of erasing my emotional rollercoaster ride of life .its harder then it looks. I just want to throw in the towel and say there I tried.. But then I see those little faces I would leave behind and I'm brought back to reality.. Only to find I'm still insane still barely hanging on.. These moments I share I suppose to cherish... Looking through sober eyes... When will I find happiness ..that lies deep inside. My mistakes.. Only hurts everyone else... Why can't I be like anyone but myself.. I see moderation works for everyone but me.. One taste and I'm all a waste... When will the chills of not having booze intoxicated thrills be demolished... The wasted dreams I have. I wake up with the bitter taste of regret.. Regret that I can't do right sober ..and I can't do right drunk. Confused, shaken, out of reach of what was preached by so many before me... Happiness isnt found in sobriety ...its only found in yourself... Being sober just makes it that much easier to be found ....or is it?
