Adultery

tears of regret fill this hollow pen that etches  the sorrow of broken faith upon this fading soul. As he reminisces  memories of eyes so bright before the affliction of love got caught choking in the blight. There was a time  he could feel the warmth of light but that all changed like fate on one dreary night.  He stood there watching everything crumble before his sunken eyes.   left speechless,  his heart stopped beating like a watch that finally ran of time. As he choked  down the image of adultery that was bound by  the chains held to every single one of her lies.  with his son tugging on his pants,  gripping hard,  begging  him not to go. now nights he spends alone haunted by the image of broken love drenched in sweat that she etched in stone.
