Chapter Fifteen


   The drive along the coast was absolutely breathtaking. I sat staring out the window while writing in my journal. Mac sat at the table staring at his screen while sipping his whiskey. Sam was laying on the back bed with Evol. They seemed to be sharing a joint and chatting. Every now and then I would catch them kissing. Kevin and Danny sat with Mac at the table playing cards. Just watching them all made me happy. I didn't have much of a family other than Alex and my kids, but these guys were as close as it gets. Before we took off on this trip we were pretty tight, we shared so much with each other. It was our troubled pasts and our passion for art that allowed us to bond, however it was what we experienced on this trip that made us family. 


  We drove for a little over an hour along the beautiful coast when Alex was getting hungry and pulled off in Laguna Beach to eat. It was a cute little spot on the beach called The Loft, the food smelled good and there were beautiful views of the ocean. 


  We enjoyed our meal, in fact it was probably the best food we have had since being on our trip. Although we were all still on a high from the other night, which made everything better than it actually was. We decided to find a place to camp and stay here a few days. We asked the waiter if he could direct us to a RV park where we could camp for a few nights. He said if we backtracked a few miles we would find Crystal Cove State Park. He said it was gorgeous this time of year.


  We paid the bill and thanked our waiter for the referral. Soon we were headed north on the PCH. It took us about fifteen minutes to get there give or take. Alex and I walked into the reservation office hoping for a spot. The lady behind the counter was so short it looked as though she were sitting down. She had short curly gray hair and wore a light blue turtleneck shirt with a dark blue vest. The vest was adorned with little pins that had pictures of cats. She was a very kind woman as she told us that we were in luck. Typically they book out months in advance, however she had a couple who had to cut their trip short. So she had a spot available for a week and a half before the other guests would arrive. We happily booked for the time they had available.


  She pulled out a map and circled our spot. She told us about the 2,400 acres of backcountry that was great for hiking and such and also about the little cafe that had delicious food. We were looking forward to exploring the place a little more. We thanked her and walked out to tell the others.


  It wasn't long before camp was set up and we all grabbed our cameras and decided to explore. We wanted to check out the hiking trails to see if there was anything worth shooting. Sam was looking sexy as usual and was always down for a photo session. We talked about doing nude shots in a wooded area and we were hoping this would work out.


   The trails were beautiful and thankfully pretty empty this time of day. It was a little bit off the trail where we found a gorgeous spot to shoot. Sam was always down to be naked, especially in a photo. We positioned our cameras facing Sam and adjusted our lighting until it was perfect then Sam undressed. She knew what she was doing as she slowly undressed as if she was doing a little strip tease into the camera.   Sam quickly got dressed and we headed back to camp. It was beginning to get late and we didn't want to be out there in the dark without a flashlight, especially in an unfamiliar place. 


  We found our way back and it was getting cold out so we grabbed some sweatshirts before heading out to find dinner. Mac kept his camera around his neck while the rest of us put ours away. Mac enjoyed street photography and hoped to get some interesting shots as we walked around town. 


  It was a cute little place with eccentric shops that sold art and souvenirs. It seemed as though most restaurants here served seafood, we were looking for burgers or pizza, so we kept walking. Mac wandered down a back alleyway up ahead. When we caught up with him he was talking with a woman holding a camera with a rather large lense. I can't even imagine what she was taking pictures of with that lense in an alleyway. Mac stopped talking and introduced us to the woman he just met. Her name was Stephanie, she was an attractive blonde woman,  wearing black skintight pants with brown boots that almost came up to her knee. She wore a long sleeve dark brown fitted shirt that matched her boots. Her hair was up in a messy bun and had very little makeup on. She seemed a little nervous as Mac introduced us. 


  Mac could start a conversation with anyone, he loved learning about people and the odd behaviors that defined them, for him, the weirder the better. He continued the conversation with Stephanie about her lense. She paused as she looked around at all of us then reluctantly said “you guys are going to think I'm crazy”. Then she proceeded to tell us that she was spying on her boyfriend and his wife. She paused and looked around at us as if she was waiting for us to judge her. When we didn't, she continued.


  Apparently Stephanie had been seeing a married man but she swore that he was leaving his wife. She recently gave him an ultimatum, and hadn't heard from him in a few days so she decided to follow him after work. He met his wife at the restaurant up the hill. She wasn't taking pictures she was just using the lense to try and see what was going on between them. Stephanie had hoped he was breaking it off with her so they could be together.


  Mac asked if she minded if he took a look. She shrugged her shoulders and said go ahead. Stephanie had her camera on the tripod and already focused on her boyfriend and his wife. Mac was able to see the couple enjoying a nice romantic dinner together. He was talking while holding her hand and she was laughing at what he said. Mac pulled back not knowing exactly what to tell her, but from what he saw he looked happy with his wife. He felt bad for Stephanie and the situation she got herself into so he invited her to hang with us and although somewhat hesitant she agreed. Thankfully she lived here and was able to direct us to a hole in the wall pizza joint.


  We ordered a pitcher of beer and Stephanie told us more about how she met her boyfriend. Stephanie is a hairdresser in a local salon and he was her client for a year before anything started. She was aware that he was married and still jumped in with both feet. They had been dating secretly for over a year and he, his name was James, had convinced her that he loved her and he was leaving his wife. However he had been saying that for months. 


  Stephanie had blamed his wife for his not being able to leave, she was convinced that she was a bitch who didn't love him but wanted to stay married to him to keep her social status. Stephanie opened up about wanting to tell James’ wife that he didn't love her and wanted to leave. She even told us how she would stalk her and slashed her tires once when she couldn't find the courage to face her. Stephanie apparently felt comfortable with us when she said she just wished she would die so she could finally be with James. 


   We continued to listen without judgement while we ate our pizza. As we were about to call it a night Mac told her where we were staying and asked Stephanie if she would like to join us tomorrow for dinner. He said that Kevin was a great cook and we would love the company. I wasn't sure if Mac truly felt bad for her or if he was just entertained by her craziness. He was like that, he seemed to feed off people and their strange lifestyles. Maybe it was a way for him to feel less alone in the world with his own crazy thoughts. I can relate to that. In fact, it's what brought us all together. 


  We said goodnight and headed our separate ways. Back at camp Mac jokingly said that that poor girl had no clue how crazy she was. I piped in saying that it was her own fault for getting involved with a married man, those stories never turn out well. Sam agreed, she questioned the girl's sanity as well. Although Sam felt bad for Stephanie's ignorance, because she really thinks James is in love with her. Men like James were good at making women fall in love them. 


  We all woke up earlier than we had in a long time. Kevin was in the kitchen making breakfast. I loved the smell of bacon in the morning. I sipped my coffee curled up in the chair while I wrote in my journal. Mac and Evol chatted about exploring the town today. The rest of us were usually pretty happy about following whatever idea someone had. Sam was sitting on Danny's lap sharing a piece of bacon with him. Whatever he was saying to her had her giggling like a little girl as she tilted her head back as she laughed. It was nice to see the two of them together like this. I don't know what happened between those two and Thibaut, but now that he's out of the picture things are back to normal.


  We all finished eating and got dressed to go explore the town. As Kevin opened the door he saw Stephanie standing there like she was about to knock. “Good morning guys!” Stephanie announced cheerfully. We were all a little surprised to see her considering we didn't have plans until dinner, but ok, we were down for a little company. She was nice, a little crazy, but nice. 


  Stephanie wanted to take us to her favorite spot on the beach, she had her camera ready and thought we would enjoy it. We happily went along, it was after all a gorgeous day for the beach. Stephanie wore a black bikini top with a white mesh shirt over it, she had on little jean shorts that showed off her long tan legs. Her hair was down with long beachy waves, again she had on very little make up. In the sunlight you could see her beautiful sea green eyes, she was stunning. I couldn't  really tell exactly how beautiful she really was last night in the dark. As she walked in front of us leading the way Alex could not take her eyes off her ass, honestly, neither could I. 


   Sam walked next to Stephanie and started asking if she heard back from James last night. She smiled and said yes, apparently late last night he met up with her and they talked. He assured her that he loved her but he needed a little more time to break the news to his wife. Stephanie smiled as she said they made love and then he had to go. However James promised her that they would be together soon. 


  I could tell Sam was bothered by this guy. He was clearly using Stephanie to get laid, he wanted his cake and eat too. He had no intention of leaving his wife. It was sad, Stephanie was beautiful and smart, why would she waste her time on this guy? 


  Sam was quiet the rest of the way. We got to the spot and it was beautiful. The sand was white and sparkly and offered a beautiful contrast to the blue ocean water. We all layed out our towels and sat down taking in the beauty of this place. Stephanie stood up and unzipped her jean shorts and she slipped them off revealing little black bikini bottoms. Then she took off her white mesh shirt. Alex and I were in heaven, she was beautiful and tan and my God, she smelled like coconuts. Sam took off her flowered sundress and wore a white and pink bikini. Alex and I and the guys happily sat back and watched as Sam and Stephanie walked down to the water. 


  We all started taking pics of the girls playing in the water and having fun. They eventually wandered back up to the towels to sit with the rest of us. This was a gorgeous spot and seemed to be secluded. We had been here and hour and we hadn't seen another person the entire time. We talked with Stephanie about our travels and where we were from and how we met. It had been another  hour or so of chatting when Stephanie got a call. She walked away and answered it and talked for a few minutes. When she got back she apologized and said she had to go and that she would see us later tonight.


  Stephanie left and we stayed back enjoying the beautiful view. Sam went and layed between Danny and Kevin. She untied her bikini top to let her bare breasts hang. Danny looked over at Sam and put his hand on her boob then he leaned in and began kissing her nipple. Kevin did the same on the other side. Sam arched her back enjoying the attention.   We hung out there for a few hours then it was time to pack up. Kevin wanted to have time to shop for food for dinner tonight. He loved cooking for others and showing off his talents. Danny and Kevin went off to find groceries while Mac and Evol went to go explore the city and do some street photography.  Alex and I  decided to stayed back with Sam. 


  Sam took off her clothes and said she was going to shower. She purposely did that, standing naked in front of us. She hoped that it would send one of us in after her. Sam loved sex. I loved how inhibited she was and she did what made her happy. Sam turned on the water and left the door slightly open. Alex watched the reflection of Sam in the mirror for a while before she stood up and took off her clothes and stepped in the shower with Sam. This time I watched them both in the reflection. I saw Alex standing tall in front of Sam, then Alex grabbed Sam by her hair and pulled her head back so Alex could bite her neck...then she made her way down between Sam's legs. Sam held onto the shower walls to balance herself as Alex made her come with her tongue. The entire time I watched I was touching myself until I yelled out in pleasure at the same time Sam did. 


  Sam and Alex emerged from the shower and we all layed in the back bed naked while we chatted about Stephanie. Sam thought that if Stephanie realized that James was just a man who cheats on his wife with anyone, then maybe she could move on from him. Sam asked for our help with an idea she had. She wanted to show Stephanie that James was a pig and not worth her time.


  We were all on board and tomorrow we would carry it out. It made sense to do this for her. Stephanie needed to know the truth, even if it hurt. 


  Stephanie showed up for dinner and we all had a great time. Stephanie seemed happy when she left. She said it was nice to be able to connect with all of us. She hoped that we could get together again before we left. We agreed to plan something and meet up again soon. 


  Alex, Sam and I looked at each other and smiled. After tomorrow Stephanie would know the truth about James and she could finally be free.
