~how could she have done this to herself? Put the entire known universe against her in less then nine months? This was terrible...horrible, who knows what she had been thinking...all of this for just one night of feeling loved, one night of sparking love for a lifetime of being shamed and hated~ These were just a few of a her last thoughts, or atleast the ones that could be made out from the scared shambles of messy thoughts in her head. She was running from who? Everyone, everyone that was near her she was running from. Clutching to a white basket she protected the valuable object inside it amongst the white blankets as she ran, trying to escape the yells and guards giving chase far behind her. Finally she found what she needed for the moment a hallway, into just the place she was looking for. Slam! The door to the hallway was shut, then locked by her quivering hands before she turned, running down the dark narrow, vine covered hallway. There was a loud bang behind her as the guards slammed into the door, yelling at her, telling her there was no escape and that she should give up. She ignored them and continued to run down the hallway, at the end was a magical glowing, floating pad, a Transport Pad. All she needed to do was get the basket o to the pad then it would disappear to an unknown location and the item that caused her so much grief with the universe would be safe. She continued to run, so close to the Transport Pad, yet so far, too far. With a loud splintering noise the door was sent crashing down behind her, causing her to panic as she neared the Transport Pad. Without warning an arrow of ice was let loose, flying through the air, almost as if everything was in slow motion before it buried itself deep within her chest. She gasped, stopping, just right in front of the Transport Pad as she dropped the basket on top of it before she looked down at her chest. The tip of the arrow was poking through her chest, through her once snow white beautiful dress. Watching with mute horror she stared at the blood that blossomed from the wound and over her dress like the opening of a budding rose, sending crimson swirls around her dress. She had been thinking that maybe she'd live through the experience, hide for the rest of her life but she was completely wrong, right off by a land slide. She coughed, shivering as blue frost also swirled out from the wound, chilling her to the bone as she leaned on the Transport Pad for support, closing her eyes. She listened to the weakening thrum of her heartbeat, still strong enough to pound in her ears with fear. Focusing on the yelling and hoots of victory from the guards behind them it was almost we if she could see their smirks just from their laughs and hollering, but then she couldn't hear anything anymore except for a sharp ring in her ears. It was almost a reminder of how quickly she was facing death, and for once in her life she didn't have the confidence to stare it down and walk away from the end of herself. With a soft groaning her eyes blinked open then looked at the basket, or more specifically, into the basket. Her eyes were met by small, whining eyes of beautiful silver, eyes drooping at the lids, much like hers, except hers were drooping from her approaching demise. With a small smile she reached out, stroking the cheek of the creature the eyes belonged to, the creature that was causing her problems, the innocent, tiny creatures that was the reason for her death right now. The Transport Pad started glowing as the guards approached, so close, they were arrogant enough to think that they had already won. Idiots. "Goodbye...Dephaena...may the Gods smile down upon you and watch over you for me.." She whispered out, her voice harsh, forced as tears welled up in her eyes. With a flash of light the basket and the creature inside it were gone, safely transported somewhere in the universe where it could be found and saved by an unknowing being. Yells and howls of anguish and anger came from the guards behind her, but she couldn't hear them, she couldn't hear anything. She slowly slumped backwards off the Transport Pad, falling to the floor on her back, making the arrow of ice press farther into her chest. Pain should've been lancing through her, but she couldn't feel anything, she was numb, numb to pain, numb to smell, numb to sound, and slowly becoming numb to sight as her vision blurred. Breathing harshly she stared up at the blurring roof, tears flowing down the sides of her face, but a smile on her lips as she slowly lost the ability to live. Her breathing got slower and slower before she let out a final breath, thinking her very last thought, at peace with what she had done as she finally passed from the world. ~my little girl, my baby girl, my only child of such great power...she's safe~
