The Cheat
 
The flood of tears spoke from my shattered, hurting heart.
What possessed you to do such a thing? Have we grown that far apart?

I left my heart into your hands; to be safe, loved, and true.
Instead it got thrown to the ground, by an act you weren't supposed to do.

I'm devastated, confused, angry, and feel totally alone.
I am shivering with sadness, it's shaking every bone. 

Our sacred vows, I'VE kept for eight plus years.
Gone by your selfish act; leaving me with many fears.

Although I've said the words "FORGIVE" I find it hard to trust.
My tears are falling very hard. My dented suit might rust. 

Many thoughts go whirling in my mind; thoughts of me and you.
Where do we go from here? What am I supposed to do?..
