SageLeaf woke to his mate, RedPath, pawing at him. He stood and stretched, letting a yawn fall out of his mouth. He looked at RedPath "We need to do something? Why did you wake me?" He meowed "I want to go to the forest, SageLeaf come on!" RedPath giggled. SageLeaf rolled his green eyes "Lets go then" He purred, padding out of camp, RedPath following.

~ 2 HOURS LATER ~ 
The large dog snarled, leaping at RedPath. SageLeaf leaped at the dog, knocking it away from RedPath "Don't lay a paw on her you mousebrained dog!" He hissed, clawing the large animals muzzle. The dog bit into SageLeaf's neck and slammed him to the ground, the dog ripped the piece of skin off the cat's neck, blood pouring out. RedPath froze "S-SageLeaf!" She yowled, her voice full of fear. The dog continued ripping at SageLeaf, a loud howl made the large dog run off. SageLeaf layed on the ground as RedPath rushed over. She sat and dipped her head to her mates body "SageLeaf.. Why did you have to leave so soon.. What do I tell the kits..?" She quietly meowed, tears dripping onto SageLeaf's body "R-RedPath.. I'll b-be w-watching from S-StarClan.." SageLeaf weakly meowed, his body falling limb. His breathing stopped, along with his heart. RedPath shot her head up "SageLeaf!" She yowled. The night sky fell onto the forest, the air turning cold. A few stars made a shape of a cat, "Oh SageLeaf.." She quietly mewed. SageLeaf came down from StarClan and nuzzled RedPath, the she-cat could not see him or feel his nuzzle yet he didn't care.
