The small flame in my lantern grows dimmer and dimmer each second making it so I can barely see what is in front of me. The thought of my lantern burning out makes me extremely frighten. Every now and then a few small water droplets fall from the ceiling making a small noise that echoes as they hit the ground. Every little noise I hear puts me off guard. Through my endless travels I started to become so cold, hungry and weary. I want to rest, I needed to rest...although the environment is hard to endure. All of my desperate calls for help are worthless. Although I know I don't want to believe it, I want to push the idea away but deep inside...I knew I was lost and i'll never return home. Suddenly everything was pitch dark. My lanterns flame it's gone. Tears began to fill up my eyes. Accepting death was the only thing I could do now. Accepting that I would never see my friends and family again. My vision became blurry and I began to drift to sleep. "I need to wake up, I need to go further, I need to hold on" I tell myself. Every breath I take feels like I'm swallowing needles. I know any moment I'll collapse. I feel as if my prayers to god are ignored. Everything I've been through...all the things I have accomplished...my dreams I have chased for many years...everything I've worked towards...it all means nothing now. Everything starts to become a blur. I knew I was going to be just another corpse that would never be found. Everything was over now and the last thing I remebered was my little sister's bright and cheerful smile. I closed my eyes and told the world "goodbye".
