Category : Books-Fiction

Sub Category : YoungAdult
A young man named Avery Wolfsky hears of an attack on an elderly man hiking on the nearby snowy mountain. Reports had told the small town that he was attacked by a gray wolf with a light blue line from around its left eye to the neck, therefore being nicknamed "the Marked Wolf."
Avery decided to help the 2,000 people in the town who volunteered to find and capture the Marked Wolf. Meanwhile, his best friend, Liam Enax, attempts to find clues leading to the victim's death. However, Liam finds out the hiker was hit in his spine by a blade, not a wolf bite.
When Avery encounters the Marked Wolf in the mountain-side woods by himself, he finds the wolf can speak and learns that he was framed for the killing. That is when Liam catches up to them as the real killer, a village hunter named Sean Hackle, finds them.
When Sean ties up the two boys and cages the Marked Wolf, the townsfolk take the animal for extermination. But, Avery and Liam escape captivity and rush after them.
As soon as the town prepares to terminate the wolf, Avery and Liam interrupt it and convinces everyone that the Wolf was not to blame for the murdur, that it was really Hackle. That is when Hackle goes in to stab Avery, but the Wolf tackles the hunter and bites his right shoulder.
In the end, Hackle was sent to the hospital and arrested for the murdur. Avery and Liam were awarded by the mayor for solving the mystery behind the murdur, and the Marked Wolf was awarded a place in a reserve within the woods for saving Avery's life. Avery and the Wolf became good friends. From that day on, Avery and his two friends led good lives with each other, and Hackle was sentenced to life in prison.
