"No!" I yell as the fire fighter pulls me away from the burning house. "I'm sorry Miss, we're doing our job, please, try to understand" The fire fighter soothes calmly. Tears pour down my cheeks as hose after hose and tank after tank of water is used to quench the fire. " Dan is still in there! I can't...I won't leave him!" I scream as I wrench my wrists out of the fire fighter's grip and run towards the house. No way, this couldn't be happening, why now?

The smoke is thick and I could scarcely breath as I pick my way through the debris, looking for Dan. Dan, my boyfriend. The fire? Now, I have no idea how it started, all I remember is waking up in the arms of the fire fighter. Now, Dan's missing. "Dan..." I call weakly. My lungs hurt and I felt faint. My feet hit something hard yet oddly soft? I squat to investigate, and what I see forever left me scarred. 

It was Dan's burnt corpse, and with that...I pass out
