Slam!!! That's what she heard as the locked her away, like a caged animal. The vibrant girl that she once was, was lost. You could see in her eyes she was broken inside. Still as she sat on the cold metal bunk, with the thinnest mat you could ever imagine. It was like she laid there on the cold metal itself. Trapped behind the cement. Pale white walls, that were so hard and cold. Lying there going on day 9 of a 30 day lockdown. All she had to keep her mind busy was her bible and God. At times she would just sit and speak to the only father she had ever known. The funny thing was She began to hear voices some that were not so nice. The voice would tell her to just end it. End this life That seemed at a dead end. News got out to the guard that she was threatening to end her life. So off she went shackled and she could barely move. Off to the hell as she describes it in the beginning. When she arrives in the prison infirmary, they immediately strip her naked. Give her this big heavy green turtle suit is what they call it. Only because your head and arms stick out and underneath your just butt ass naked. Now not only was She thrown in another cell only to find this one much more colder then the other one. Not only did she not have a matt to sleep on, she had no blanket. There she laid in the corner of the cold cement floor. She didn't even have her bible to pass time anymore. This was it. There she stood with a glass window so the guards could check on her periodically, so she would not harm herself. She felt as though she was in exhibit at the zoo. She was still a very attractive girl. Just her weary eyes were lifeless. They didn't have that blue sparkle she once had. Destroyed inside and so empty. Never did she ever feel so alone. That's when she began to cry uncontrollably, sobbing like a young child. Screaming only louder enough that she could hear herself. "Why Lord, God Why, did you forsaken me father?" That night she crept up in that hard cold corner with her nose buried in that turtle suit. Trying to find some warmth and comfort to fall asleep. She had wept so long and hard she could barely see. Morning had arrived and a woman appeared with a message from God. She told that girl not give up. To have faith, that a new day has come. She smiled and felt a feeling of assurance. Of course her father the only father she ever knew, had not left her. She realized she left him. As she sat laughing with complete and utter joy. She knew God was with her and she wouldn't have to face this alone. That's when she took a breath and gave a sigh of relief. So the girl curled back up in her corner to get some warmth and to rest her weary eyes. She could feel a sense of warmness and she drifted off to sleep.
