I think you forgot that this is my world, you're only living in it. I don't think you remember that I'm the best damn thing you've never had. The only thing you lost right before you had the opportunity to find. I think you never realized that I am priceless. You never gave me a cent of your time. I was worth it. You were worthless. Time may only be wasted if not used with good intentions. Your intentions were as artificial as the sweetener in your smile. I let you into my world with consequences. I told you I would be your partner but you treated me as the problem. I told you I was your side kick. You told me I was the bad guy. I reminded you that I would protect you. You said you only needed space. Yet their was a universe of opportunity and freedom between us that I never saw because I was too close. My world isn't easy to encounter. The gate isn't tall, the gate isn't wide. The entrance is invisible. I've never let anyone see it, instead I found myself begging others to find something that was never truly there. I told you that it would be easy to get in, only hard to leave. You could walk right through something that wasn't far away. You left anyway. You didn't see the glowing exit sign. You're the one that lit it red. I told you that there would be an aftermath. I didn't tell you that I was disaster relief. I didn't tell you that I was damage control. I didn't tell you that I wasn't ready. I didn't tell you that I wasn't sure. I didn't tell you I didn't love you. I told you that you were breaking my heart. I told you that you were leaving a lonely start. You told me that it wasn't possible. For once in my life, you were right.
